Pure Potential Artist Statement
The paintings themselves morphed and shifted continually in the process of their own becoming. Precious bits were lost and reborn with new faces informed by what came before – or not.

I’m interested in energy as it relates to form and these paintings explore energy as a creative force. I am fascinated with the process of becoming – that fluid time before form that is full of possibilities. The paintings themselves morphed and shifted continually in the process of their own becoming. Precious bits were lost and reborn with new faces informed by what came before – or not.
Many of the paintings contain whirling spirals and dancing dervishes stemming from my love of fairy-tales, myth and magic. There are nests and vessels humming with life force and serpentine webs of connection. Chaos and a sense of things in transition underlie a theme of abundance and of potential.

About the Exhibition
The paintings in Pure Potential Exhibition coincide with my early shamanic training. They explore ideas about transformation and every as a life force permeating everything. I sat the show myself and received feedback from hundreds of visitors over the few weeks the show was up. It was a tremendous learning experience for me.
